Katie Down and I return for our annual Sound School training at Maha Rose in Brooklyn this fall. We’ve been teaching this popular introductory dive into sound as healing modality for a decade, and love sharing the practices and approaches to sound healing that we’ve each honed over our combined 30 years of experience in the field.
This weekend immersion is ideal for anyone seeking to enrich your life with practices and tools that can balance the nervous system, connect you more deeply with yourself, and expand your capacity to feel and listen.
You'll experience your voice as a powerful healing instrument, expand your power of listening, and have the opportunity to play different instruments, as well as explore working with them within a healing context. You'll also receive a basic theoretical and practical understanding of how sound healing works and how it can be applied to different modalities, so that the experiential is grounded in the practical.
You'll get your hands on crystal and metal singing bowls, Biosonic tuning forks, Monolina monochords, hand pans, shruti boxes, and a variety of percussions and drums.
Be prepared to laugh, play, learn, listen, share, and be transformed by this newfound connection to the vibrational world.
No sound or music experience necessary. All are welcome.
