Sacred Sound Ritual

Sean Hoots, Eva Geisler and I co-facilitate a ceremonial experience of vibrational healing through sound and music. We weave together meditative sound with sacred chants, medicine melodies and original songs crafted with intention and spontaneity to guide participants on a journey that brings them home to their hearts.

We are all beings of sound - our cells vibrate, our hearts beat rhythmically; sound is thus a potent tool that can help reset, nourish and stimulate transformation in mind, body and spirit. The soundscape opens with gentle breathwork to support relaxation, and blends a wide range of instruments, including Himalayan and crystal bowls, voice, shrutti, gong, tuning forks, guitar, charango, drum, flute and rattles. Come melt into the waves of vibration.

Spring Equinox Sound Bath Immersion

Join me, Lea Garnier and Beth Ylvisaker for a sound bath to celebrate the vernal equinox. We will focus on releasing the residue of winter’s constrictions while we open our hearts to the expansive energies of Spring. You are welcome to lay down or sit up during this time.

Bathing in this space, the overtones will feed us until we reach a state of Holistic Resonance. We can sense the feeling of our own body transform into a feeling of no body as the sacred sounds do their work. There is a paranormal sense of levitation, timelessness and bliss that can be experienced, along with a consciousness of detachment, compassion and peace.

Return of the Queen

I'm super honored to be part of a stellar lineup of women offering up their gifts at Return of the Queen, a women's retreat held at The Dutchess, a secluded estate in New York's Hudson River Valley. I'll be serenading the women with a deep, meditative soundscape on Thursday night, accompanied by acupuncture, to help set the tone for a weekend of healing, soul connection and sisterhood. My student Alexandra Radoaca, a sound healer and meditation leader, will be assisting me.

Dreamed up and led by Alison Sinatra—a teacher who has been guiding women back into their bodies for nearly 20 years—Return of the Queen is an intersection of wisdom traditions, embodiment practices, intuition honing and a belief in the power and potential of women.

Healing Sound Bath with Jessica Caplan and Pepper Monroe

Pepper and I head upstate to the sparkling new Maha Rose North, which was recently covered in this Vogue article, for a night of sound and deep comfort, surrounded by forest and fresh air -- the perfect antidote to the frenzy of Spring in the city.

In this two-hour event, you’ll settle into a restful state of integration and restoration, as Pepper guides you through a sequence of gentle, Restorative yoga poses. Using support like blankets and bolsters, this style of yoga allows body and mind to release tension, reset and heal. Sound, a powerful tool for reaching meditative states, facilitates this deep unwinding, creating an inward journey guided by therapeutic sound, music and the imagination. Jessica’s soothing soundscape, created spontaneously with resonant instruments – singing bowls, tuning forks, shrutti box, vocals and Shamanic instruments – will melt you into stillness and into the waves of sound vibration.

We’ll wake up our senses at the end of the event with a tasty treat.

Saturday Sound Bath at Sky Ting Yoga

Imagine sinking into a “bath” of soothing sounds that take you on an inward journey of relaxation and transformation. By using frequency and “entrainment,” a sound bath facilitates a shift in brainwaves from our normal waking state to alpha and theta states that are akin to meditation—where true somatic healing can occur.  The soundscape will include voice, interwoven with Himalayan and crystal bowls, tuning forks, shrutti box, chimes and other world and shamanic instruments.

Feel free to bring an eye mask (if you choose to cover your eyes during the session), yoga mat and blankets provided. Set in the lovely, spacious Sky Ting Yoga in Chinatown.

Spring Emergence: Sound Waves & Restoratives with Jessica Caplan & Pepper Monroe

The vibrant energy of Spring invites us to action. The season is a playground for the senses: we inhale the scent of budding leaves and flowers, feel the sun on our skin, hear the sounds of nature waking up. Just as nature is having her rebirth, we too are experiencing our own renewal after the hibernation of winter. We may feel newly inspired, or exhausted as the pace of life speeds up. Join us as we transition into this new season by pausing to nourish yourself and the seeds you’ve planted.

We’ll settle into stillness, guided through Restorative yoga poses by Pepper. Using the support of blankets and bolsters, this style of yoga allows body and mind to release tension, reset and heal. Therapeutic sound, a powerful tool for reaching meditative states, magnifies this deep unwinding, creating an inward journey guided by music and the imagination. Set to Jessica’s soothing soundscape, created spontaneously with singing bowls, tuning forks, shrutti box, vocals and Shamanic instruments, we'll melt into waves of sound vibration.

We’ll savor a homemade, organic Springtime treat after the session. The class is slow, nourishing and suitable for all.
